TECHNICAL SALES/GEOLOGIST

GEOMAP® COMPANY is known nationwide for the quality of its subsurface mapping and interpretations. Qualified candidates shall have experience selling into oil and gas exploration or production and have a strong work ethic. An undergraduate degree in geosciences makes you an even better fit for our group of geologists and customer-oriented team.

A Geomap Company Technical Sales Representative shall be responsible for the direct selling functions of established products and services in an assigned sales territory. Sales performance shall be the primary measure of success. The Technical Sales Representative shall also arrange a program of personal visits to potential clients. Geomap geology, mapping quality and strong brand name make sales presentations and demonstrations a pleasure. All sales positions must participate in a certain number of trade shows each year and some travel is required.

The candidate for Technical Sales must have excellent human relations and written and verbal communications skills. This position interfaces with customers and staff from multiple facets of map production, finance, and Data Center personnel. The Technical Sales Representative must be able to take initiative and work independently without close supervision. The ability to speak in front of groups, communicate ideas in a straightforward and organized manner and solve problems methodically is required. The candidate shall possess a friendly and confident manner and be neat and well groomed in appearance.

A degree is required, and petroleum geology is preferred. A verifiable record of sales performance is necessary. Candidate must have a working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Word and Excel software. Geomap offers an excellent working environment, non-smoking office and benefits package.
