This image is taken from the 2001 edition of Geomap's Western Wyoming Executive Reference Map. Several kinds of information about oil and gas
fields near the Wamsutter Arch are shown on this sample. The colored polygons, which are keyed to a color coded strat column, indicate several extensive Mesaverde gas fields (blue) associated
with smaller Lewis gas pools (orange). At Table Rock Field, the structural contours, multiple colored polygons, and size of the field name indicate that it is a structurally controlled gas
field with combined production of over 6 billion cubic feet of gas (or 100 million barrel of oil equivalent) from several reservoirs ranging in age from the Mississippian Madison Limestone to
the Tertiary Fort Union Formation.
The digital database used to create this map can also generate a wide range of customized map
products, including larger scale area maps, trend maps, prospect index maps, and more.
