This display depicts Upper Wilcox gas production from the 2002 edition of
Geomap's Lower Texas Gulf Coast Executive Reference Map Railroad Commission
District 4. Represented here by Webb and Duval Counties, a significant
increase in Upper Wilcox gas production has been found since 1976. Upper Hinnant, Upper Zapata,
Lower Zapata, Upper Lopeno, and Lower Lopeno sand sequences are targets. Drilling
to greater depths, emerging new technology, and recent approval of commingling
of multiple pays will ensure success in this trend for sometime into the future.
